VLOS: The annual German Conference on Bioinformatics is organized on behalf of the Special Interest Group on Informatics in Biology of the German Society of Computer Science (GI) in cooperation with the German Society of Chemical Technique and Biotechnology (Dechema) and the German Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM). The conference is an excellent opportunity to present cutting edge bioinformatics research - new methods as well as applications - to a multi-disciplinary audience. The GCB especially invites contributions from outside Germany. The conference language will be English.
Areas of interest at the German Conference on Bioinformatics 2007 are: Sequence Analysis and Comparative Genomics, Analysis of Functional Genomics Data, Structural Bioinformatics, RNA/DNA Structure, Molecular Interactions and Drug Design, Systems Biology, Biochemical and Genetic Networks.
The focus is not limited to specific computational techniques or biological applications. Scientists applying bioinformatics in life science related research are especially encouraged to present their work at the GCB.
