Abstract
Studying
the
corrosion
ability
of
the
sulphate
reducing
bacteria,
SRB-8KK
and
SRB-5KK,
which
is
isolated
from
the
mine
White
Tiger
of
Vung
Tau
province
in
Vietnam,
by
the
ASTM
D130
and
Cu

measuring
methods.
With
the
bacteria
populations
of
50,000
and
100,000
cells/ml
both
SRB-5KK
and
SRB-8KK
cause
the
high
corrosion.
According
to
the
ASTM
D130
method,
with
bacteria
populations
of
100,000
cells/ml,
the
SRB-5KK
species
cause
the
corrosion
at
3a
level
after
120
hours
of
copper
bar
immersing;
the
SRB-8KK
species
cause
the
corrosion
at
3a
level
after
96
hours
of
copper
bar
immersing.
According
to
the
Cu
mass
measuring
method,
the
percentage
of
metal
corrosion
mass
increase
by
time.
The
result
is
that
those
bacteria
are
very
aggressive
for
oil
well
